Ready for Leopard!

I've just released Pukka 1.6.2, which provides full compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard", due out today at 6pm Eastern. I've also corrected a small bug with the File -> Close menu item so that it works as expected when the preferences or about windows are in front. As always, you can get Pukka on its product page.

On the topic of Leopard, as many developers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 have noted, despite having prerelease versions of Leopard over the past year or so, we do not actually get the final version as it ships tonight until we either go out and buy it ourselves or wait for our developer copy (in a few weeks?) So, to the best of my knowledge, Pukka will work with the Leopard release, but in the event that something unforeseen crops up, I will rectify it this weekend.

Now go get Pukka!

Thanks Justin, you're a lifesaver with Leopard compatibility. I couldn't del.icio.us as much without the help of Pukka. Made me want to revert to Tiger just to use it! ;)

Maybe it's just me, but autocomplete only seems to be working for the first tag I type when using Pukka on Leopard.

But hey, it's running, so I'm happy. I couldn't bear the though of being without Pukka!

Hi there,

Pukka works fine but it now longer works correctly with Dylan Damian's Applescript for posting to Pukka and Yojimbo. The tags entered in Pukka do not get passed to Yojimbo.

Regards

Great job! The only thing I'm missing seems to be spotlight searching of the bookmarks in Leopard (after a fresh install). Otherwise everything else was seamless.

@Ryan: I have noticed some quirkiness with Spotlight and am looking into that. @Josh and @Jason, I'll check out your issues as well. Thanks for your patience.

@Ryan, @Josh, and @Jason, I've followed up with all of you by email. If we can keep the discussions there, I will turn it back around to the blog if there happen to be things that would affect other users. Thanks!

Performance feels sluggish. The app is unresponsive for the first 30 seconds after it loads. This is on a 2.4 Ghz 4GB RAM MacBook Pro.

@Derek, I emailed you as well.

After posting, the list of accounts is reset to the first item. I'm in Leopard, and can't remember having this problem in Tiger. Maybe there could be a preference to "Remember selection", or have a "Default account", or let me reorder the accounts in the preferences.

Thanks for a great app!

@Pål: I'll check this out, thanks.

I have a clean Leopard install on a new Macbook, but after I post the first link in Pukka the entry dialog box freeze. When I post another link, the box picks up the title and URl correctly, but retains the tags form the last submission and the dialog box is unresponsive. It responds to CMD-W to close, but not to mouse clicks. The only option then is to force quit and restart, but again it will only work for the first bookmark I post.
