Hello,

I'm new to Meerkat and I was able to get a connection going and see my shared folder at home on my laptop. But for some reason when I click on the shared folder I get an error that says:

The shared library "------" is not responding (-39)

Check that any firewall software running on either the shared computer or this computer has been set to allow communications on port 5555.

Both my Mac at home and laptop have the firewalls off at the moment for purposes of testing this.

My Mac at home connects through an Airport Extreme base station.

Any assistance on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is there anything in

Is there anything in particular that you did with Meerkat to solve this? Or was it some outside issue? Glad to hear that it's working!

Hmmm...

I would say this was more of an outside issue... I mistakingly had the username@ip address in the hostname. That was the issue.

I do have a suggestion... When I paid for the license and downloaded it registration file, I realized Safari automatically added the .xml extension to the file. This caused it not to work for the first couple of minutes. I was in the process of shooting you an e-mail when a lightbulb came on and I removed the .xml extension and wala!!

Anyway long story short, you may want to let people know about this glitch, just in case there are people out there like me that didn't realize what was going on.

Cheers!

That license file issue has

That license file issue has been plaguing me lately -- was working on it today, actually :-/

It seems to be completely within Safari's domain and I can't find a way, server-side or client-side, to fix it. I am currently looking alternative licensing mechanisms in the meantime.

Thanks for the report.
