Pasting a password

I cannot paste a password into the dialogue box.

Can I ask what security concerns lead to this behaviour being implemented? Are there real world examples where if this is not used clipboard contents have been used to obtain access? Is this actually hammer/nut?

Can I also ask that as pasting is not allowed and as a strong passwords are advised and as the first time entry could be a time when the user is not being overlooked that there is no option to see the actual entered characters?

I use strong passwords, I cannot paste and this is very frustrating when setting up a new machine. If Meerkat is meant to be SSH made easy then this removes that.

This was not my intention.

This was not my intention. First report I've heard of it. I will look into it and see if it can be remedied. This uses a standard Cocoa prompt dialog and should be taking pastes.

This is fixed in Meerkat

This is fixed in Meerkat 1.5.2, which was just released. Thanks for the report!
