Share Internet Proxy to iPhone

I'm using Meerkat to set up a SOCKS proxy for protected web browsing and I was wondering if it was possible to use "internet sharing" from OSX and allow my iPhone to browse through the proxy running on my MacBook. If so, how would I configure that?

Thanks in advance!

This does seem to be possible

This does seem to be possible when using a Wi-Fi connection on the iPhone. You would of course have to be on the same Wi-Fi network as the Mac running Meerkat.

This link has some basic info about it:

It looks like you click the blue arrow next to the Wi-Fi network, go to the bottom, and configure a proxy as "Manual". Then enter the IP or hostname of your Meerkat Mac, plus the port you made the SOCKS tunnel endpoint available on.

Here's a screen grab of the relevant section on the iPhone:

Good luck and let me know if it works!
