something is buggy with the apple tool bar icon for bookmarke lookups.
it's all the way to the left of even the apple icon so a call to the search look up has the search field half off the left screen. additionally, from what I can tell the search icon is only up there when the pukka program is in the front.
I want to give this program a try but the search function is odd for me.

Wow, you have a lot of menu
Wow, you have a lot of menu bar icons!
I'm working on an update to Pukka that will dynamically place the search menu to the right or left based on icon position.
However, regarding the icon only showing when Pukka is frontmost, this is related to how the menu bar behaves. It will hide icons that are too far left because of number of items until the app they belong to is frontmost.
I will look into also making the icon appear further to the right, if possible.

Pukka 1.8.2 now automatically
Pukka 1.8.2 now automatically places the search bar to the right if space requires it.
There does not seem to be a way to cause the icon itself to appear any further right. It seems to be dependent on the order of application launch, with earlier apps being further to the right.
So, if you always run Pukka and have it start at login, try putting it closer to the top of the list so that it starts earlier than other menu bar apps.
